Optometrist
Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Optometrists (both Senior and Junior) to join our team at Eye Mantra in Delhi. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for conducting eye exams, diagnosing visual conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing patient care. Junior Optometrists will assist senior staff in providing these services while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of optometry. Key Responsibilities:
Vision Testing & Refraction:
- Conduct thorough eye exams to assess visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and overall eye health.
- Perform refraction tests to determine refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) and recommend appropriate corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses).
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers to examine the eye and test for conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal diseases.
Patient Management & Care:
- Provide expert recommendations on corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low vision aids.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as dry eyes, conjunctivitis, and ocular allergies.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the proper use of corrective devices.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare providers for advanced treatments or surgeries.
Clinical Leadership:
- Mentor and guide Junior Optometrists and support staff.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and accuracy in clinical procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and incorporate best practices into the clinic.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry (B.Optom or M.Optom).
- Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., contact lenses, low vision) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience in optometry, including advanced diagnostics, refraction, and patient management.
- Familiarity with handling slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers.
Skills:
- Expertise in performing eye exams, diagnosing visual conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
