Fellowship in Phaco & Refractive
Job Summary:
The course is designed to enhance the skills of practicing fellow surgeons/ophthalmologists, providing them with extensive exposure through a structured, month-wise schedule.
Patient care is our top priority, and we ensure that the visiting fellow has continuous interaction and supervision from our consultants. This ensures that the fellowship objectives are met and that the fellow’s skills are fully developed.
Throughout the fellowship, the visiting fellow will gain hands-on experience with various phaco machines, multiple foldable IOLs, live surgeries, and the critical pre-operative and post-operative procedures essential for patient care.
Program Details:
- Advanced induction module followed by training in the OPD, focusing on independent case handling, assessment, and management.
- Comprehensive training in pre-operative assessment and workup.
- Extensive exposure to imaging modalities such as PENTACAM, ASOCT, ABERROMETRY, ocular surface analysis, meibography (OSA), and intraoperative OCT.
- Training in pre-operative care and counseling for patients undergoing cataract or lens-based refractive procedures.
- Hands-on surgical training in SICS, Phacoemulsification, and implantation of premium IOLs (toric, EDOF, multifocal).
