Cornea & Refractive Fellowship
Job Summary:
Candidates will receive training in the diagnosis and management of corneal and refractive eye diseases, including the use of various diagnostic procedures, medical treatments, surgical interventions, and research.
The clinical training includes fellows rotating through different subspecialties in the outpatient department. They will be encouraged to thoroughly assess patient issues, utilizing both logical and clinical data to make accurate diagnoses.
Program Details:
- Extensive training in the examination and management of patients.
- Access to a wide range of diagnostic procedures, including Topography, OCT, Keratograph, Advanced Dry Eye diagnostics, Aberrometry, and more.
- Regular rotations in OPDs with opportunities to manage independent cases.
- Active surgical supervision to learn the proper techniques.
- Fellows will gain experience in both clinical and surgical management of a broad range of cases.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Keratoconus diagnosis & management: Topography-guided surface ablation (Athens protocol).
- Corneal disorders: Diagnosis and treatment of various corneal conditions.
- Corneal transplant: Full thickness and lamellar corneal transplant procedures.
- Ocular surface disorders: Management and treatment of ocular surface conditions.
