Optical Sales
Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and customer-oriented Optical Sales Executive to join our team at Eye Mantra Optical Shop in Delhi. In this role, you will assist customers with selecting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products, while delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for maintaining product displays, meeting sales targets, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance & Sales:
- Greet customers upon arrival and offer guidance in selecting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products.
- Help customers choose frames and lenses based on their preferences, needs, and budget.
- Conduct basic eye tests or collaborate with optometrists to assist in the prescription of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Clearly explain product features, benefits, and pricing to customers.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional products, including lens coatings, accessories, and maintenance services.
Product Knowledge & Display Management:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in optical products, including frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories.
- Ensure that product displays are well-organized, stocked, and visually attractive to customers.
- Manage inventory levels and reorder stock as necessary to ensure the availability of popular products.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Assist with fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper alignment and comfort.
- Provide after-sales services, including adjustments, repairs, and guidance on eyewear care and maintenance.
Sales & Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed sales targets set by the store manager.
- Track and report sales performance, contributing to team goals.
- Participate in promotional activities and campaigns to enhance product visibility and sales.
Cash Handling & Documentation:
- Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions, in line with company policies.
Store Maintenance:
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Assist with receiving and managing deliveries of optical products.
- Report any issues with store equipment or inventory to the manager.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in optical sales or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory).
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in optical sales or a related field.
- Experience in customer service and meeting sales targets is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish rapport with customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of optical products, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, and related accessories.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Preferred Skills:
Experience:
- Experience working in an optical shop or eyewear retail environment.
- Knowledge of basic optometry and eyeglass fitting techniques.
- Ability to speak multiple languages (especially Hindi or English) is an advantage.
