OPD & Procedures:

  • Extensive training in the examination and management of patients with retinal conditions.
  • Access to a wide range of investigative procedures, including Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, OCT, Fundus Photography, FFA, OCT-A, B-Scan, and more.
  • Regular rotations in OPDs with opportunities to manage independent cases under mentorship.
  • Hands-on exposure to the latest imaging technologies and diagnostic procedures.

Program Structure:

First 3 Months: Induction Phase

  • Initial exposure to OPDs and patient management under the supervision of mentors.
  • In-depth training on diagnostic tools and imaging modalities, including OCT, OCT-Angiography, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, ICGA, Colored Fundus Photography with Autofluorescence, USG-Bscan, and Ultrasound Biomicroscopy.
  • Case-based management of patients with conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vascular Diseases, ARMD, Degenerative Peripheral Fundal Lesions, Retinal Detachment, and Vitreoretinal Interface Disorders.
  • Training in treatment strategies for Uveitis.
  • Diagnostic approach to Genetic Retinopathies and Maculopathies.

Next 3 Months: Advanced Training & Hands-On Experience

  • Continued exposure to advanced imaging techniques and diagnostic modalities.
  • Hands-on training in medical retina procedures, including Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, Panretinal Photocoagulation, Focal Argon Laser Photocoagulation, and Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope.
  • Practical experience in managing complex retinal cases and following treatment protocols.
  • Surgical training for intravitreal injections with the latest anti-VEGF therapies, including Aflibercept, Brolucizumab, Faricimab, and Dexamethasone Implants.
